The airbox hose on my 2000 XR650L has shrunk in length so that it will no longer stay clamped to the carburetor. This part fits between the hose and the carb, effectively adding 10.5mm to the airbox hose length. I've been using this part for months without any issues. I have also added a 14.5mm version for anyone that needs a little more length.
