Horejsi Long Shot 4 - Wingmountdevice

Designed this device during build of the Horejsi Long Shot 4 wing. 1. The device enables you to glue both wing halfs together while aileron servo cables are inserted. 2. The device provides a 12 degrees bend (6 degree from a horizontal level per half wing) for glueing both wing halfs with epoxy. The inclined planes are big enough to have a solid feedback while outer wing areas are supported from additional materials (e. g. stacked CD cases). 3. The device is very handy to drill holes for the aluminium screw guides, to guide screws through the wing and to attach the wing to the fuselage (check the distance of your srew guides on your fueselage before drilling!). You can fix the whole wing to the device using insulating tape. Aligning the wing is made easy by inserting a 0.8 mm wire into the trailing edge end of the device for center line adjustment. Afterwards drill the two holes into the wooden wing center. Insert the screw guides into the device to have a good guidance of the drill. Consider drilling by hand... 4. Aligning the aluminium screw guides perpendicular to the level surface ist easy by fixing the wing again to the device. Insert a part of the screw guide into the device while glueing the other one into the wing. Insert the steel screw in both screw guides and the screw guide within the wing will automatically be perpendicular to the ground surface of the device. The device may work also to glue other F3K wing halfs together.
