#Tinkermechanical This object was created in TinkerCad https://www.tinkercad.com/things/c42DJM02Cxi The inspiration for this print came from the Beech Baron aircraft (super fun to fly). I always love to assemble my 3D prints, it just feels more satisfying almost lego like. I designed this model so that you are able to use multiple colors and are able to make each component stand out. It is a 82 part build in total (including 8 bearings). It is amazing educational model that can be used in classrooms. It uses a 5 to 1 gearing ratio with a planetary gear system in the back, which requires the user to spin the knob in the back only slightly and it will result in the system moving 5 times faster. Each of the connecting rod's big end has a 685ZZ bearing that can be press fit. This particular bearing had the perfect ID to OD ratio that I was looking for and for low load situation such as this it is ideal. Tinkercad truly is an understated software. I started this project with much simpler goals but after getting familiar with the software, I quickly realized just how powerful it is. If you are able to visual a part in your mind, Tinkercad can reproduce it. After the completion of this project, Tinkercad has become an integral part of my workflow. In the spirit of this competition, every single component was designed using Tinkercad. In conclusion this is not really an easy build, but a very satisfying one. It require patience especially in the assembly phase. Huge thanks to the inspiration that came from all the Greg Zumwalt models. He truly inspired me to go bold with colors and inner mechanics. I hope to see people print this model in various colors and size (message me if you want a particular scale) and display it. This is a tribute to the open source hardware concept and what it stands for.   UPDATE: "Planetary Gear Bearing Housing" was the wrong STL file. It has now been updated with the correct one. Sorry for the mixup, this file has the 3 holes that are required to locate and align the "Middle Planetary Gears" and its pins. Let me know if there is any issues.
