10/12/2018 Update: Fixed issue with dovetail corner radius, added 0.2mm tolerances around dovetails. The bullet feeder/collator on my Hornady Lock 'n Load AP is incredibly loud when it's running. I noticed someone on YouTube was using a pan lid to keep the noise down, which seemed really effective. Since I wasn't going to run around the local thrift shops in search of a lid that fit perfectly, I decided to design and print my own. Just print four of the lid pieces, sand and fit together, and glue with cyanoacrylate (super) glue or something like Gorilla Glue. The knob (while not required at all since the lid hangs just over the edges of the bullet feeder) is designed to just cover all of the middle dovetails if placed correctly. Once again, just glue the knob in place. The rim which protrudes into the collator measures 238mm (9.37") in diameter, while the lid itself measures 254mm (10") across. This was designed for my pistol collator. If someone has a rifle collator, please let me know if it fits. If it doesn't, I can gladly adjust some dimensions to fit. Since my press is in a non-airconditioned room, I printed mine in Fillamentum Traffic Red ABS to avoid any sagging or deformation from heat. However, I'm sure it would have done just fine in PETG or PLA (if you keep your press in a temperature-controlled environment). I might experiment with a spray-on coating such as Plastidip to keep noise levels even lower. However, I can't make any recommendations as I'm not 100% sure how they react with ABS. Two sections can be printed at a time on a Prusa i3 Mk3. I hope both you and your ears enjoy!
