Hose barb adapter and manifold

Hose barb adapter and manifold

This customizable parametric model should allow you to generate a barbed hose adapter for any set of inside diameter tubing. You can generate multiple outputs and create a manifold. This can be used to connect various tubing sizes used in pond pumps, to give one example. The latest version, v4, has a number of enhancements including the option to set output barbs to 0 for a smooth output, which can be glued to PVC pipe fittings. The inside of the vault is now vaulted to allow printing without inside supports (which are nearly impossible to remove). Generating feet is no longer the default for vaulted models. It's recommended that you have your favorite slicer generate support for anything touching the print bed. Other fixes are included, such as the bug where intrusions into the vault complicate printing. Instructions Customize and select input and output sizes. The input barb will print on the bottom. Recommended print settings should have support for the vault (manifold) option, only when touching the print bed (avoid supports inside the manifold vault). Support is also needed for the inline connector particularly when the output is larger than the input (for example, a PVC pipe to barbed hose adapter). The output barbs may also print better with support. You may need to adjust the support parameters to avoid having supports inside the vault, which has a relatively gentle slope to the inside ceiling. When gluing to PVC pipe either the ABS or PVC solvent glue seems to work with ABS prints. I have not really tried under pressure, however. To preview your stl file before printing, you can do this: Start FreeCAD Import the STL Under Model / View, give your imported model a bright color like red Set the transparency to 70 You should now be able to rotate using left + middle mouse buttons and see the inside and outside of your stl file.
