Hot Bed Clip

This is a small clip for the heat-bed with plate. I designed it for self education and to be able to help others out. It's an OpenSCAD file so you can modify a few parameters yourself and export to stl for printing. The OpenSCAD file is less than ideal, but for the purpose of the items I don't think it needs to be optmised. There are a couple of variables you can change within OpenSCAD: ``` // Bed Height, total hight of the bed including plate (try to measure this to within 0.1mm with a caliper) bedHeight=4.5; // Thickness of the material walls materialThickness=2; // Width of the object width=10; // Length of the object length = 12; // Hight of the inner bumbs bumpHeight=0.3; ``` One other parameter you can change is ``` pressureEngle = 1; ``` This is used to add the actual hold down pressure. You might want to change this to 1.5 or 2 if you feel not enough pressure was added. This could also mean you did not measure your bed height accurately enough. Ensure that all changes you do make sense, there are no controls if in place to decide if the design can actually be made, but if you just change the bedHeight and material tickness a few mm you should be good. Do print your design in ABS instead of PLA because PLA tend to get weak at higher temperature and it will loose hold string. For ABS schrinkage I would not worry to much, but if you do you can increase the X and X by 2% or multiply X and Y by 102. Don't multiply Z axis as it's not prone to shrinkage. NOTE: Although I marked this as printed with Ender 3, you can use this clip with any other printer. good luck! Updates: April 13 2019 : Customizer version
