Hot Frame Corner Bracket

Hot Frame Corner Bracket

thingiverse

These corner brackets are designed to be a tight press fit using 1/2" PVC pipe (NOT CPVC) to make a cube-shaped frame, upon which you can attach whatever material you like, such as shower curtain, cardboard, or plexiglass (kexan) if you want a polished look. The design leaves room for the machines power cord to fit under a bottom pipe rail without lifting up the machine. Uses ordinary inexpensive 1/2" PVC water pipe for the frame tubes. The faces are flat intentionally, as it makes for easy mounting of any material. Notes: For mounting hard/flat materials to the frame such as cardboard or plexiglass, print with a dense 25-40% infill so that you can drill and then use mounting screws. Use a drill bit slightly smaller than the screw shaft size to prevent delamination/splitting, as you would with a hardwood such as oak Flexible plastic materials such as PVC or nylon shower curtains or tarp can be mounted using a good brand duct tape, such as Gorilla Tape or 3M Duct tape. Requires: 8 - printed corner brackets 4 - vertical 1/2" PVC frame pipes (28" to amply clear the roll of filament on my machine) 8 - horizontal 1/2" PVC frame pipes (20" for my machine)
