https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VastN__bb-8 EDIT: added a community made alternative hatswitch base that is reinforced by BikerSid Designed to replace some awful hat switches I salvaged from a 90's Madcatz Panther XL joystick. I designed a throttle for them, only to have them fail. So I started to recreate them and it evolved into this mess! Every hatswitch variation I could think of! They aren't designed to fit anything other than the panther xl ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panther_XL ) they were based on, but who knows! maybe they'd fit others too. EDIT: Someone pointed out that the madcatz switches are likely from CH,which is now APEM, who sell the exact same switch for 45 bucks! https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/apem-inc/500-526/679-2289-ND/2063280 **I am interested in anyone who wants to donate old/broken CH/Thrustmaster/Satiek devices so I can make new bases to fit them too.** Tact switches used: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B06Y6DDG8K/ Requires: - 2x-4x 6x6x5 tact switches (based on number of directions you've printed) - 2x M2x12 (or M2x10) Bolts - 2x M2 nuts - 1x M2x20 Bolt Notes: Make sure extrusion and size is well calibrated or the switch will be too tight or too loose. Print with supports with floor/roof interfaces but lower density to make them easier to remove. Depending on your slicer it may have a short support "pin" inside of the base of the switch stem, you'll need to remove it with a needle. I heat the bolt with a lighter a bit to get it to thread well. You may need to file the edges of the base of the switch stem to make it fit nicely. Enable print ironing to improve switch surface quality.
