10-3-17 UPDATE: I've added another module that attaches to the main body. This has room for 6 sliders, 3 4-digit 7-segment displays and 12 rotary encoders. This is for 2 trim axes, 4 sliders for Prop pitch, Mixture, Brake pressure and an extra plus a 3-radio stack with a rotary encoder for each digit on each radio. Admittedly, this is getting bigger than a single Arduino Mega, but I think it's still doable. Maybe use some 7400 series MUX's? Or, maybe a Trinket for each radio. Just not sure yet. 9-17-17 ORIGINAL POST: This is my take on a completely created-from-scratch HOTAS throttle for flight/space sim. I've included several holes for various switches, toggles, push-buttons and LED's. The plan is to use an Arduino Mega as a USB HID and program the inputs for use in flight and space simulators. Right now it is set up to use: Base: 15 push buttons 6 switches 14 toggles - 5 with LED indicators 3 rotary encoders 1 rotary switch Throttle: 1 Hat Switch/mini-joystick a la Xbox/Playstation controller 1 4-way switch 6 push buttons 3 toggles
