**UPDATE 9-11-2015 No longer selling kits, I added the BOM to the file package, you should have all the information to build this kit and where to source the parts... **3-23-2015 This is the "HOT BOX" enclosure system for FDM 3D printers and rep-raps. A fully removable enclosure, specifically designed for the Lulzbot Taz series of printers but can be used with any printer that can fit within a 26x26x24" space. backstory: When I got my taz4 a few months ago, it quickly became clear that printing in ABS with the stock machine was not going to work. I was skeptical about how much an enclosure would help but I tested one made out of some foam board and it was a night and day difference!!! So, not satisfied with an ugly cardboard enclosure covering my beautiful robot, the next step was to design a nice enclosure. I took a month or two testing different idea's out, testing CAD models and real life prototypes and this is what I settled on and I LOVE IT!!! Looks great and works great also! And all for under 300$US, not bad. I regularly come close to 40 degree's with only the bed as the heat source. Some features of the HOTBOX: - removable hood, just undo 4 wing nuts, disconnect the filament and the whole enclosure comes right off for easy access to the printer. - Passively heated from the print bed up to 40C+. A must for printing materials like ABS, NYLON, HIPS and POLYCARBONATE - Full clear acrylic front door with aluminum handles, magnetic closure, rubber seals and integrated control panel, friction hinges hold it in place when lifted. - 2x 140mm fans for printing in PLA, controlled from front panel via PWM switch. -2 super bright LED strips for adequate lighting, controlled by front panel - integrated 72W power supply powering fans, lights and all electronics. Plenty of room to add more electronics later. - Exhaust port for RAMBO board. - And more.... In this FREE file package, I'm sharing months of work and research and design so you can build your very own HOTBOX! I've included a comprehensive instruction manual detailing the tools and materials required for the job, along with over 128 pages of HD renderings to help you through every bit of the building process. You also get a file package containing .DWG .DXF files for all the wood pieces if you want to opt to have them laser cut instead of DIY style. You also get a folder containing all the .STL files for all the 3D printed parts that are required for the build. Finally I've included an .IGES cad file of the fully assembled HOTBOX. You can try to source some of the hardware yourself to help complete the build but I do offer a ready made "hardware" kit to save you the trouble. Please PM me if you are interested. I'm distributing these files under a GNU GPLv3 more information about this license can be found here... https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-3.0.html thanks for looking, I hope this helps with your 3DP projects, likes and comments are appreciated.
