This is the radio thing that accompanies a Hoth Rebel Trooper Hat (from Empire Strikes Back). I made the hat to wear to episode 7 and it went over well. The antenna fits into the top of the radio. I then painted it and weathered it to achieve the empire fighting look. Note this is not super accurate, while its size is pretty good, the extra little buttons and lights and stuff were added to make it look more robust.
