This is the second version of this project. The first was fine in every respect but one. The arms were fragile at the mounting screw closest to the middle. This issue is fix along with the need to use shims, in most cases. Some printing difficulties are eliminated with this new design. The image displays a QuadX with a carbon top plate. The top plate was from an older ZMR frame however the printed top plate is just as good. This frame was designed to fill a hole in the frame market that ignores the need to accommodate 3in props on many micro quadcopter frames under 150mm. This is a simple 140 wheel base quadcopter frame that can use 20x20 and 30.5X30.5 stack. It suites 110X and 130X brushless motors. ( Suggest 1105 4000Kv-7500KV or 1306 3000Kv-6000KV )The camera mount will fit RunCam micro without modification. The image here is of a camera from an Eachine 120 however the STL is for a RunCam Micro. Propellers from 2.5in to 3in fit this frame. Currently using 1105 4000KV motors with 2840-3B props. VTx fits best at the back with 2.5mm cable ties and double sided tape. For a flat print a strong adherant and heated bed, is required. Shims are require for M2x7 or M2x8 screws. All connections are using M2 hex head screws. These screws are the same used with 110X motor prop attachment and usuall come with the props for this kind of motor. Be sure the screws only protrude about 1mm into the motor. Screws protruding further that 1mm may damage motor windings. The shims are without the centre hole for retention of the circlip and shaft if the bell is knocked off. Please leave comments as this is a developing design that I will hope to improve over time.
