How To Recycle Handvac Batteries

When a hand vacuum goes bad, typically most of the batteries will still be in a good shape. In most cases, these batteries are sub-c type batteries. Sub-c looks like a small C cell. Unfortunately, the sub-c cells do not physically fit in C-cell slots, which makes it hard to re-use them. This converter allows you to re-use the sub-c cells as C cells. The screw that I used is a 1/4 inch screw that I grinded down to a length of 4.5mm, so it sticks out a little on the inside of the converter, allowing the battery to make contact. Any screw will do, as long as it is firmly attached to the converter. Keep in mind that the total length of the converter plus battery should be 50mm.
