HP Active Pen holder - stylus holder

So you're sitting there just diggin' the coolness and sleekness your HP branded Pavilion x360 / Envy x360 / Spectre x360 family of convertible laptops (#NotSponsored), and then it hits you...there's no place to easily stash your stylus while not in use so it doesn't get lost. Believe it or not, it happened to me. I created this thing to function not only as a stylus holder with lanyard loop, but also storage for two spare batteries and a replacement stylus tip. When fully loaded the core stays securely in place via the bump-detent interfaces. Add a lanyard loop or ring for additional usability. Assembly: -------------- Spare Tip: The spare stylus tip is stored snappily in place at the bottom center of the core. Simply insert the wide end into the channel and insert until it fully snaps into place. Batteries: The batteries rest loosely in the round-topped battery chamber, with detents to keep them separated and relatively in place. If you're only stashing one spare battery, I recommend you keep it at the lower portion of the battery chamber. If you're out of batteries, I recommend a little wadded piece of whatever, because the core has a tendency to slip out without that additional gap fillage. Load the core with your spare tip and spare batteries. If adding lanyard loop, now is the time. Align the core so the stylus channel is pointing outward/upward, and is inline with the pocket-clip recess of the shell. Work the core into the shell with a little back and forth to get past the first detents, after which the rest should slide and snap into place easily with a little pressure. Slide in the stylus, business side into the chamber, and pocket clip in line with the opening on either side of the shell. Disassembly: ------------------ Remove the stylus. Using either the lanyard loop, or thin prying item like tweezers inserted through the doughnut opening, to lift the core out. If there seems to be too much resistance you can pull the stylus chamber wall away from the shell to release the friction lock. When you need to let loose the tip, simply use a flat prying item (coin, key, etc.) to gently separate the retaining flap away from the pocket and it should fall right out.
