Version 2 here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4746674 I'am not a friend of 3D prints which requiers supports. My HP Reverb G2 Face Cover is printable without ugly supports ;-) The model is desinged from scratch (not modified) to get a better FOV and of course easy printing. The shape is a bit wider to get less pressure to the head. The Part is optimized to use "easy to get" HTC VIVE Facepads from for example KIWI design, HTC or cheap china VIVE parts. KIWI has pad sets with different sizes (best for testing). I got best result with a 6mm pad. The magnets including the cover are working like the original ones - snap in easily You need: - 4x cylinder magnet 4x10mm (4x5mm version included but NOT recommended ! ) - Velcro Strip 50-60cm (Klett, Häkchen) - 150x50x10mm of soft foam material for the nosecover - depending of your nose ;-) - double sided tape or glue for the nose cover. - HTC Vive Face Pad - HP Reverb G2 ;-) After the print: - remove the two pillars (see picture with red parts). Just cut it away with a side cutter. - press the magnets into the holes. The lower Magnets will fully stick in the hole, the upper magnets should stay out for arround 2.2mm. - remove no Supports ;-) - put the Velcro strips on - glue the nosecover in place (see below how to make it) Foam nose cover: There is a template included to cut the foam parts (for my nose). Buy a bit more to try to get the best size for you. Cut the foam, and glue the round side together. The foam will shape like a nosecover - great ! Put some double sided tape or glue to the cover and place the nose cover according to your needs. I use double sided tape without foam or paper (only glue), sticks like hell ! Fabric nose cover: The second template is designed to cut a pice of fabric (~2.5mm). Just cut the fabric, tack the round edge together and flip inside out. I've some velcro stips laying arround from TESA Fly screen (Fliegengitter), works great. Please let me know if you need a wider, smaller or a "not so near to the lenses" parts. Update 30.12.2020 added pictures with magnets attached Update 01.01.2021 added new nose cover idea (2.5mm fabric) Update 05.01.2021 added a wider version (purple) (confirmed - see comments) added a comparison pictures (yellow original grey my version, purpble my wider version) Update 06.01.2021 optimized the wider version a bit for better printing (slightly thicker wall) Update 19.01.2021 little Update, holes to remove the lower magnets. Upper can be removed with pliers. renamed the stl's to simplify the selection (magnets)
