HP Reverb Prescription Lens Adapter

HP Reverb Prescription Lens Adapter

This adapter simply snaps in and is held by the friction between the outside frame and the stock lens bezel. A little pressure is needed to snap it in place but it holds firmly. I put the point of the angle in first and then lay the back side in. I simplified the design to not have a groove as it is very hard to get the lenses into a groove with the type of plastic that I use (PETG). This adapter is designed for use with the Zenni Optical round lenses (9.99 USD). I have ordered several pair (one for each of the computers that I have in the house) and all are 44mm in diameter. I have read elsewhere that lenses are sometimes 41mm across. Those will also work with these adapters. I used a piece of thick tape as a shim to make the lenses fit firmly in place in the adapters. The adapter shape is the same for either eye so there is no need to make a left and right. (There is actually a very slight variation in the stock lenses but I made the adapter to fit either way). I have only tested this with the HP Reverb, no idea if these will work with any other HMD. If you want to adapt the model for your own use contact me and I will share the CAD files that I created to make the model.
