This clip holds the mouse wheel in place so you can use a 3d printed shell without worrying about wheel alignment. You should cut away any existing support in your other 3d printed mouse shell to use this. The foot has a slightly fatter side that should go towards the wheel side. Insert against the wheel and then slide towards the right switch to lock it in.
