HTC HERO (ANATOMICALLY CORRECT) -Don't Print!

thingiverse

Hi All, I'm trying to get back into the swing of 1 design upload a day. I'm also trying to sort out the workshop and stuff. This is a model of the first Android Phone I bought - the HTC Hero, I still have a soft spot for these phones. They were better than the iPhone, they didn't try to be the iPhone, they looked great, they were the right weight and dimensions - they had a real thikness to them, and the screen was crisp and allows the user to reach right across the on screen keyboard without accidentally hitting "Back"! Anyway, this is the phone that inspired my rather tacky username of "AndysuthHero" - that's not me being Heroic, that's me being unimaginative. So I need a wifi camera to watch the 3D printer, to see when its finished, etc. I was going to sell the HTC Hero and buy a WiFi camera. Then I realised I was being a Little Stupid, I could reprogram the HTC Hero to be my Wifi Camera. Saves money, I keep the phone and only problem is How does one mount a dilapidated HTC Hero and run a power lead to it? Well there are no chassis on the Thingiverse for HTC Hero, so I decided I would design one. Then there were no models of the HTC Hero to build a holder around, so I decided to to build a model of the HTC Hero for people to play with and maybe use. So here it is, complete with holes, buttons and trackerball. Complete with Native Files. Enjoy, EurIng Andy Southern, aka BathRobotics.
