HTC One M8 Phone Holder for Mazda 3 i Grand Touring or Hatchback

This is a two part phone holder. I split it to make it easier to print, and to allow the clip part to be mounted to the car dash (using double sided tape) without committing to the phone holder. The idea is to be able to swap out just the phone holder part when I get a new phone. I wanted this device to blend in with the car's dash board as much as possible. It doesn't cover any buttons or restrict airflow when the phone isn't installed. When I bought my 2015 Mazda I Grand Touring hatchback I quickly realized I wanted a way to hold my HTC One M8 phone in a convenient place. Even though I have a built in GPS unit, google maps on my phone does a better job of doing voice searches, and leaving my phone in the cup holder cuts down the reception. I noticed that there is an excellent spot for a phone in the center of my dash, just over the emergency light button. As I have a Form 1+ at work, I decided to make my own holder. I wanted it to be easy to clip the phone into place, without the extra clamps or sliding mechanisms required with all universal phone mounts. After six prototype builds, I finally got all the dimensions perfect. If you happen to be in my situation and want a kick ass phone holder, try making this one. I haven't tested it yet, but this should work with an HTC M9 phone (with a case on it) as well. It should be printable on most 3D printers.
