HTC Vive Lighthouse Shelf Mount

HTC Vive Lighthouse Shelf Mount

thingiverse

This is a shelf mount for the HTC Vive lighthouse, to replace the standard wall mount part. I have a shelf near the corner of the room and rather than mount the lighthouse next to it (potentially obscuring line of sight) I decided to mount the lighthouse to the front of the shelf. Customize for your shelf's thickness, print, cut away the thin support, screw it into your shelf and use the original plastic "nut" to tighten the ball into the mount. You'll need: A Vive 2 or 3 short screws suitable for screwing through your shelf Print Settings Printer: BigBox3d Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 35% Notes: Should print fine in most materials, I'm just using PLA. Post-Printing Cut away the thin base so that you can slide the bracket on to the shelf. How I Designed This OpenSCAD using the thread library from here: http://dkprojects.net/openscad-threads/
