HTC Vive Tracker Band Adapter With Printable Screws And Buckle

thingiverse

A full wearable set for the HTC Vive full body tracking. Based heavily on [HTC Vive Tracker Band Adapter](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2213567), and my own [1/4 Inch Camera Screw (M3 Core)](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4702621). **NOTE: Same like my printable screws, you will need an M3 thread cutting tool for this.** **You will also probably want a sewing machine to stich up the belts.** **Features** * A full set for all 3 trackers. * Nice and comfortable fit, you barely know you are wearing it. * "Left" and "Right" labels for the leg belts. * Printable buckle for the waist belt. * Each belt is adjustable in length. **Required Components** * 3x **HTC Vive Tracker** - Obviously. * 4x **M3x10 screw, countersunk** - Used for the waist belt buckle. * 3x **M3x16 screw, countersunk** - These screws are used as a core for the 1/4'' printed screws. * **40 mm width rubber belt** - This belt is used for the waist. Required length depends on your body, but is ultimately adjustable. * **62 mm width rubber belt** - This belt is used for both legs. Required length depends on your body, but is ultimately adjustable. * **M3 Thread Cutting Tool** - Without the core M3 screw, the 1/4'' screw is fairly fragile. You will need to use the cutting tool to gently prepare it for insertion. * *Optional* **Sewing Machine** - It may be difficult to sew the belts up by hand. **Printing Instructions** * Print all parts as oriented. All parts other than the screw can be 0.2 mm layer height and 40% infill. * Print 2x *62mm_Adapter* and 2x *40mm_Tightener*. * Print 3x *1-4_Inch_Camera_Screw_M3_Core* with 0.1 mm layer height and 100% infill. * Print 1x of each other items. **Assembly Instructions** 1. Cut the M3 thread into the printed screws using a thread cutting tool. Cut from the base towards the tip. **Go extremely slowly and gently.** The throat of the screw is quite fragile and can break easily. 2. All 3 tracker adapters use the printed screws, so place the printed screws on one side of the adapters and screw the M3x16 screws from the other side. The adapters have little slots so you can use needle nose pliers to hold the printed screw firmly in place while tightening. Do not tighten all the way, you want the assembly to freely spin in the hole so you can tighten it to the trackers. 3. Assemble the waist buckle. Use 4 M3x10 screws and combine *40mm_Buckle_A_Lower* and *40mm_Buckle_A_Upper* into one piece. 4. Assemble the waist belt. Use 40 mm belts with one *40mm_Adapter*, two *40mm_Tightener* and the whole buckle. The tighteners are used to tighten or loosen the belts, so you need to make sure to correctly assemble. I suggest stiching the belts where needed using a sewing machine. Refer to the horribly drawn diagram after the photographs for more info. 5. Assemble the belts. For legs, use 62 mm belts with one *62mm_Adapter* and one *62mm_Tightener* (Left or Right, depending on the leg). Same as with the waist, refer to the horribly drawn diagram after the photographs for more info. 6. Screw on the trackers using the M3 screws on each adapter. I hope you enjoy, and if you have any questions or found some issues, be sure to comment! I will see what I can do! As usual, I have also included the Blender file in case you want to edit it further.
