Hue Dimmer Switch Adapter

Hue Dimmer Switch Adapter

thingiverse

In my old home I had lots of Philips Hue lights and switches. I replaced most of my bulbs with Hue bulbs, but didn't want to have both a Hue switch and a decora rocker switch controlling the lights. I designed these to fit over existing decora rocker switches while still giving access to the physical switch behind the Hue dimmer. The Hue Dimmer is held on with magnets glued with contact cement to recessed holes in the adapter behind the switch. I couldn't find magnets that were both strong enough and the right size to securely hold the Hue Dimmer so I re-used the magnets that came glued into the original Hue Dimmer plates. I have added the STL files for a single gang, dual-gang, 3-gang, 4-gang, and hybrid adapter. The hybrid adapter is in situations where you have a dual gang but only have or want a single hue switch. It can be mirrored in your slicer to switch the position of the hue adapter section from left to right. To save filament and minimize support material required, I printed them face-down except for the hybrid adapter.
