Hey all, The first upload, let me know your thoughts. V0.2. Update 25/01/2020 You now have prows and some sensor pole things. There's the 'traditional' Eagle Prow and a "Space Innocent psychic hunters" that are defiantly not the Inquisition... Also after a test print of the hull, I decided to chop it differently into the front and back rather than left and right to try and hide some join-lines. the hull as a Whole is included so you can cut it up as you see fit. Each one has some different layouts for the torpedo tubes. The 1st one is more like the original model's placement. The others are based on various bits of artwork I came across. Here is a Human Navy Cruiser which definitely does not relate to Battlefleet Gothic at all... It's a bit of an update of Italianmoose's model with more fine detail. Blender doesn't seem to want to keep the scale of things right so what I usually do is pull the STL into Lychee/chitubox, scale the main hull to 70mm long (the length of the original store-bought hull) and then scale the rest accordingly. This is V0.1 and the hull, engines, bridge and weapons are complete. Still need to work on the Prows and accessories (ie turrets and antennae) you could always just scratch build these onto the model in the old-school way (paperclips and greenstuff cover my old BFG models!) I'm not sure on the best way to print the hull so any advice/support when supporting is welcome! included are the full hull with wings attached, this failed for me when I tried printing it the first time. so then I sliced it up into left, right and the wings. This printed great, but in curing the hull warped a bit. so next time I'm going to try the whole hull without the wings and see what happens. The hull is hollowed a bit to help save on resin, but the hole will be completely hidden by the prow and the engines when you glue them on! Want to stick it together digitally and print? the Windows default 3D Builder actually does a really good job of fixing and merging models together, and it has a snap function! So handy for chopping and sticking them together and easier to use than something like Meshmixer. This is a remix from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2797426 Italianmoose's prows *should fit* with some scaling while I work on my version. Enjoy!
