Hurdy Gurdy! A complex instrument, expecially for people not very skilled in complex woodworking Like me! Therefore here are the parts that are more difficult to make out of wood, but can be made with 3D printing without dramatic drawbacks You'll have to make the body of the instrument out of wood, which can be accomplished with simple tools and not much skill The parts are made for a Hurdy Gurdy in 420mm scale with -2 Melody strings -1 Drone -1 Trompette But it should be relatively easy to modify the amount of strings, expecially the drones, without big mods Here's the list of the extra pieces needed: -Two bearings, 10mm inner diameter, 26mm outer diameter, 8mm height -10mm diameter threaded rod for the axle -10mm Nuts for the rod (17mm from side to side) -10mm SELF LOCKING Nuts (or similar) to fix the wheel distance to install it in the instrument with ease, and to lock the crank in place -A couple round shims (or how you call them) to help the wheel stay straight -Tuning pegs! I used cheap banjo ones -M4 screws with nuts, for the various bridges and rear bearing mount -A lot of M3 wood screws (or what you think suit best) to fix all the tangents! They should be pretty much all! Here are a few helpful points: -I used 9x9mm wood for the keys -The wheel is made to have two nuts glued into it -The struts are 10cm high, so that will be the inner height of the instrument -To mount the wheel: you need to insert the axle from behind the instrument and slowly screw it holding the wheel in place, until the axle will go into in the front strut -To mount the plate i used some metal wire attaching to a screw at the bottom of the instrument ---I didnt install the higher keys, they have to be shaped to make space, and since i didn't need them that much (i can go up to high D) i left them out ---Leave enough space between the wheel and the bridge! about 3cm should be fine, i've learned it the hard way
