Derived from drdpj's 12cm outer-edge fan mount (for 25mm deep fans), this version is designed for the often much more powerful 38mm deep fans. A lot of these larger fans can spit out a massive amount of air, and with that, only one is required in most cases. The one I use is a 225DS-1LP13 manufactured by Etri.Update: Version 2 (fan_mount_38_2.stl) now has longer nibs to better grip the holes on the fan.Update: I've added an optional XL version (fan_mount_40_2_XL.stl) which is about 3mm wider to accommodate and secure optional fan guards or shrouds. Instructions Print Attach (Long clips go on top) Regulate* Route wires Done If your printer runs on a higher voltage other then 12 volts, like 19v for the RepRapPro Huxley with Melzi electronics, then you will need to regulate it down to 12v. This is briefly described below. Otherwise it is likely that your fan will generate more thrust then is weighs and cause sheer terror when it breaks free. I used two NJM7812FA regulators in parallel with a small clip-on heat sink each. Those output to the fan's input with a single 35v 100uF cap in parallel to mute the sounds of the PWM for speed control.
