"Hydrone" Parcel Delivery Drone

The Hydrone is a small and versatile drone that is designed for parcel delivery.A small, replaceable hydrogen-tank is used to power the drone; this increases flight duration and thus minimizes downtime. All other electronics besides the hydrogen power plant can be sourced cheap and reliably from standard drone parts.The Body is fully 3D Printed in PLA to reduce non-degradable waste, in the event of damaged or worn out parts.The simple structure of the design allows for easy maintenance and repairs to keep running costs low and productivity high.In order for the drone to find your garden or balcony, a small landing zone needs to be set up in a place with sufficient space for the drone to land and start. The landing zone emitts, much like approach-radars on airports, two vertical, fan-shaped radar-signals, othogonal to each other. This way, connection errors between drone and pad can be avoided.The Hydrone is specified for light loads and small parcels only. This way, even in small spaces and without dangerous weight high above ground, delivery can be achieved. This versatility marks the Hydrone as a workhorse, for the logistics industry.
