Hydroponics floating plate

This piece is designed to hold multiple soil samples floating while contained in a rubber made storage container (the peach colored ones). using the hand holders as guide rails this plate keeps samples standing upright. The beveled sides account for the tapering sides of the container.This was machined using a 3 axis CNC mill, the tool path was created using a waterline feature with high increment count.
