<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">After searching I couldn't find a linear rail solution for the Hyper Cube Evolution which met my needs. I used a modified version of my BMG mount and designed a MGN12H carriage mount for the BMG direct drive extruder setup. For the motor mounts, idlers and XY Joiners I modified the model from </span><a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3786629"><span style="font-weight: 400;">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3786629</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> I have included all the SCAD files that I modified to create mounting for the rails. The original used MGN15 for the X axis which I changed to fit an MGN12H. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is designed to fit my Hypercube Evolution Setup, which includes the following</span></p> <h2><strong>Features</strong></h2> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">CoreXY on Rails</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sensorless Homing on X & Y</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">BMG Direct Drive Setup</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">X Rail without added support</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">5015 part cooling fan</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">BLTouch Z Probe (Probe Offsets are 36,5)</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Wire management on extruder</span></li> </ul> <h2><strong>Printing</strong></h2> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">PETG or ABS recommend but high enough density PLA should work</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">0.4mm nozzle with 0.5mm line width</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">4 shells</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">4 top and bottom layers</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">30%+ on infill</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">0.2mm - 0.28mm layer height (your preference)</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">For the Rails I used 400mm on the Y and 450mm on the X. These are the rail I purchased </span><a href="https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_sDIkn5"><span style="font-weight: 400;">https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_sDIkn5</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. These were cheap and was surprised how smooth they were. Much better then I could have hoped for.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I originally printed the parts in PETG for fitment and testing. These worked well and after some tweaking printed the final parts (expect the XY joiners) in ABS. Everything is previous self explanatory on how to instill. The BMG mount used 3mmx5.5mm nut inserts. The X rail is a press fit into the XY joiner or if you prefer there are holes that nut inserts can me placed and M3 screws installed to lock the rail in place. I have been using the XY joiners for a few months without anything locking the X rail into place. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is a fully functional setup but I plan on redesigning the XY Joiners from scratch at some point.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Feel free to ask any questions and make sure to post your makes!!!</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Heppy Printing</span></p> <p> </p>
