Thanks to Bobbert69 for the wonderful initial design! I had some issues with my older 3D printer and the peg/hole threshold and tolerances. Using TinkerCAD I removed the pegs and created a pressure-fitting slotting junction for the halves. The new junctions don't extend any farther than the initial print, so there's no different build size requirements. The pieces felt very solid when placed together before any adhesives were applied.
