Update 30/04/2020: - Given that thingiverse couldn't be bothered with sorting the website - I'll be taking down all my design files until further notice. This is my Second take on the Prusa i3 re-design. My requirements were: - Sturdy frame. I got tired of fighting resonances and went full overkill. - Precision over speed. - Top shelf, and widely available components only: * e3D Titan, * e3D V6 hotend, * Prezision piezo orion kit, * Duet Wifi 1.04 * 300mm Z Threaded nema17, * mk3/2a heatbed, * Noctua fans, * 12v psu - No endstops. X and Y are using sensorless homing made possible by TMC drivers. - No inductive Z probes. Piezo orion is built into the extruder, which uses the nozzle instead. - Has to be able to self calibrate. - Has to be as plug and play as possible. - Has to use 3030-l Aluminium profiles. Although this is very much work in progress, I believe I've reiterated enough to iron out all the "obvious" quirks and I am currently running two of these machines myself. Stand-out features: - Custom extruder carriage with built in piezo probe, e3D titan and V6 hotend. - Some aesthetic thought in printed parts. - Powered by actively cooled Duet Wifi. - Integrated X-Belt tensioner. - Integrated Universal Spool stand. - 12mm belt for the Y-Axis - Gyro-inspired filament guide. - Electronics and wiring are hidden in the bottom frame. - Comes with out-of the box reprap configuration. - Preconfigured start routine that enables hassle free print starts. Very close to plug and play. Print volume: 200x300x200 I will keep uploading updates on this project in the foreseeable future, as I'm implementing and testing new features on my free time.
