I hate glue but what the heck

I hate glue, and this is why I wanted to start this topic, maybe I just hate it because I do not kinow what glues the best and maybe I am doing things wrong. I mean seriously I used Hot glue, I used superglue, crazy glue, silicone, two component glue....whatever, they told me there where glues that are thougher than the steel wings they glue on an F16 fighter jet, but no matter what my glues never seem to stick on anything but my fingers, the table, my clothes. But the plastic parts I am trying to glue together just won't work, Yes sanding the pices, yes roughing them up, yes using clamps and curing the glue all of that it is to no avail. and I am at my wits end here, so I am asking you glue specialists and let this be a topic for everyone who hates glue just as much as me. HOW do I glue S***t together, be it PLA. PLA+, PLA pro, ABS, ABS+, CPE, PETG, Carbon, ASA, Polycarbonate, TPU and what not...?
