Hotend mount, applies to: PowerSpec / Wanhao Duplicator i3 Mini / Cocoon Create Model Maker I have been dissapointed with the cooling performance of the stock setup, so i have designed a new mount to add a dedicated 4010 blower part cooling fan The coldend cooling it's much better, the part cooling duct could use more improvement, but it's good enough for me, just check the pictures for the difference vs stock I have insulated the block with the cotton/kapton strips, i would say it's really needed because of the distance to the printed parts and somewhat powerful blower fan. If you want to use a silicon sock the design should work with original and non orignal e3d blocks, but i've not tested that, i'm using the stock block For the main mount i have used captive m3 nuts, you can tighten those but the for the plastic threads on the model, take care or you will strip them, do not use too much torque. Plastic Threads: M2.3X0.4 (4010 blower) M3x0.5 (4010 Axial fan) M2x0.25 (Endstop) Bolts: 6x M3x0.5 x 10mm (you can use up to 16mm long on the ones with nuts) 4x M2.3x04 x 6mm Nuts: M3x0.5 (i used 5.5mm side to side, 2.5mm deep, max 6x2.8) Update 20210304: Duct v2 directs air from both sides, reducing the cooling "shadow", and now it has a cutout to view the nozzle
