IBM PS/2 Style Raspberry Pi 2/3/4 Case

Hi, This is an approx 1/3 scale IBM PS/2 Model 30 style case for the Raspberry Pi models 2, 3 & 4 (edited, I have checked and the case will fit a model 4 too). There are a couple of ways to print the top case, if you're happy removing supports from the front then print the top model as is with its top side down. However I have also provided the case and front panel separately. Printing the front with its back face down will provide a better finish (and is the way I printed it). I then glued the front panel to the top body using epoxy resin. The top and sides should be flush between the front panel and the top case when doing this (lean them both on a flat surface when the epoxy is drying). As for the bottom case, its been designed to take a 3cm fan and also to use extenders for the HDMI and Power (see images) so that all the leadouts are neat and tidy on the back panel. I glued these into place using epoxy resin. The Pi should slot straight onto the supports, and I fixed it down by applying a small amount of epoxy onto the supports to prevent movement of the Pi unit. For the MicroSD card, I used a MicroSD (male) to SD (female) adaptor which I removed the plastic cover from, and glued to the plinth located on the front part of the bottom case (see photos). When doing this, you want about 4mm overhang on the front edge which will then allow you to insert SD cards through the floppy drive slot on the front panel once assembled. BEWARE: be extremely careful once the plastic cover around the SD slot is removed, the thin ribbon cable is only gently soldered to the board and is very delicate. I would recommend applying some electrical tape over the ribbon cable to the board where it is soldered just to prevent accidental damage to this delicate connection, however do not apply tape to the area which is to be glued to the case. Finally, the screw holes on the sides are 3mm in diameter, so use any suitable screws you have available. I used ones that came with the cooling fan :) . Below are the additional parts that I used in my build (suitable for Pi 2 & 3): 3x3x1cm Cooling Fan: https://ebay.us/EhaW0F Internal 25cm Micro USB cable male to female: https://ebay.us/OJc2jW Internal 15cm HDMI Cable male to female (although a shorter one may actually be better): https://ebay.us/7pBEEU Male Micro SD to Female SD cable (again, a shorter cable would probably be better): https://ebay.us/JaDVms For a Pi 4, you would use just need to swap the Internal HDMI and USB connectors to Micro HDMI and USB C to allow correct fitment :) . Finally, enjoy and feel free to comment if you have any questions! UPDATE: Also added logo in a Powerpoint format too. Its correctly sized for A4 paper so just print it as is at its highest quality setting, cut it out and glue into the front panel indent.
