Update 5 February 2023 Tested it today, but the grip on the ice was bad. Probably this is because of the high number of spikes. 24 spikes, seems to work better than the 48 in this design. The was also confirmed by another driver, who had tested this earlier. So back to the drawing board. I did the rest of the race with my other design(5778320) and that was working fine, plenty of grip. on this ice. Original text: This new design uses smaller nails then my previous design (see https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5778320). This allowes the use of a normal TC rim, so it can be used for most TC chassis. The nails are normally used to fasten N-scale model train rails to a wood board. -Minitrix 66537 GleisNägel 0.8 x 10 mm, per wheel you need 48 of them. The nails are to be pushed in with a hot soldering iron. To make sure that all nail stick out 4 mm, I designed a jig. The first few millimeter the nails can be pushed in by hand. Then hold the tip of the soldering against the head of the nail and after a few seconds you can feel the nail start to move and you can slowly push it in, till it hits the tip of the bold in the jig. The TC rim is trimmed to first small ridge from the inner side. When all nails are in, the rim can be pushed in. This might need some "persuasion". Secure the tire to the rim with superglue.
