Ice Sphere Maker

Ice Sphere Maker

thingiverse

An aluminium Ice Sphere Maker. Take a large Ice Cube, place it in the crushinator sphere chamber, place the top on, and let the thermogravatational magic happen. You'll be left with a perfect Ice Sphere Instructions You could print this fairly easily as a sphere shaped mold for clay or what have you, however to make one that will properly melt ice into a sphere, you'll need the fast talking, sweet heat moving, dense ductile material known as Aluminium, and you'll also need a CNC mill or lathe (I did mine on a mill) Using a drill, a square endmill for the rough cut and a ball end mill for the finish pass, I made mine in about 2 hours on a little home hobby CNC mill. I've been churning out Ice balls ever since. Here's a youtube video of the CNC inghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ryR4s1g3z8
