A costume piece for Venice is Sinking 2019 - may it never again snow thusly! Aside from the 3D work, this is just dead-bug construction (I didn't think I had time for a PCB, which I regretted later). The printed plates for LEDs and transistors worked out really well, though. Other parts - * Adafruit 8266 Huzzah - code is [here](https://github.com/nf7w/IceStaff/blob/master/icestaff.ino) * White LEDs for the icicles (which are christmas ornaments from Amazon, ground flat and drilled for 5mm LEDs) * RGB LEDs, common anode, with a mess of passives for the lights into the cage * 2N3904s to power the RGB channels, and some random old FET (RFP4N05) for the icicles and staff wrap * Staff wrap was a blinking strand that happened to have a 6VDC supply * Lithium batteries in series - 2000mAh for the 8266, 1200mAh for the 6V+ supply to white lights * Tilt sensors - 3x simple physical switches (ball bearing in a tube) as a lay-down sensor * M3 pins for assembly - I found them a snug friction fit in a 3.4mm hole with our printer, but YMMV.
