Icosahedron - 20 sided shape net

Net for an Icosahedron (20 sided shape). I have entered it in to the maker ed challenge as I think it could be used to teach Infant/ Junior school children about shapes and what a net is. Much simpler shapes could be created this is just one example. I used a 0.4mm thickness between triangles to act as hinges and then used glue to stick it together. It is a fast build, took about 40 mins. Project: 20 Sided Shape Net Objectives: Children of a Junior school age learning about shapes and nets of shapes in an interactive way. Audiences: Junior school age. Preparation: Students should have an understanding of 3D nets and be shown the example of the 20 sided shape and be challenged to make cubes or different simpler shapes. Steps: Students can be taught how to use design software, as it is a simple design any software could be used and then the students would print their net and see if it made a successful shape.
