This component is the small but important standby battery holder for the fc6a series of idec plcs. In a pinch and without timely replacement on the horizon, it worked very well for me. One less thing to worry about. Your mileage may vary. No guarantees expressed or implied. Use this model at your own risk and double-check your work! If available be sure to get the idec original part. I decided to use strong industrial pla (with low-brittle, low-static, and non-conductive properties). A slot would give the battery compartment a bit more room to move during press-fit, but the first version fits well and we are moving on. Enjoy!
