IDSA Lapel Pin Design

Figured I give it a try. Ok, so I took the challenge literally and designed a lapel pin that can actually be 3D printed and work as it's meant to. I also took the whole "Design It, Build It, Fund It" slogan and turned it into a kind of modern day "idea to market" motif. It starts from the left with the standard drafting tools that allow a person to create a design. The next and center graphic is of a Makerbot printing a gear which represents the actual building of the design. And finally a set of internet people icons to represent the modern day venture-capitalists..."crowdfunders", from whom a growing amount of makers are successfully obtaining their funding.
