Got tired of constantly breaking this part and waiting so long for replacements to arrive... so I built one instead. This is a prop guard for the IFlight Protek 25 with or without side relief vents optimized for pusher-type configuration. I found that the vents prevent the craft from unwanted climbs and instability during abrupt turns and aggressive flights due to the design characteristics coupled with an overeager air-mode. To make it as light as possible, keep it hollow and thin walled. I crashed a lot and broke some already while adjusting the structure and print dials. Setting the infill at 20%, 2-layer walls with 0.16mm z-layers seems to yield a good balance between weight and strength for PLA material. With TPU, set infill at 20% with triple walls (1.2mm using 0.4 nozzle) and 0.2mm layers. TPU makes this quad virtually indestructible. Weight Specs: -Stock Prop Guard w/ foam bumper = 25.8 g -PLA printed @ posted settings = 24.4 g -TPU printed @ posted settings = 23.3 g Update (v3): -Holes adjusted to fit the standoff perfectly (standoff extracted from stock prop guards) -Beveled the edges - It's very nice! -Removed surface and internal artifacts -Downloaded files will self destruct if you don't click the LIKE button.
