iFlight XL5 XL6 XL7 motor arm protector
thingiverse
For my iFlight XL5 quadcopter, I require a durable motor arm protector that can withstand indoor and hard surface environments. The thickness of the arm is approximately 4mm. To ensure hassle-free maintenance, I've designed this protector from scratch using zip ties, eliminating the need to remove screws. This is also my first project created with Fusion360, as my previous software, 123D, has become obsolete. I'm hoping this design will be compatible with the XL6 and XL7 models as well. Printed with flexible TPU material, featuring a 100% infill density for optimal strength and durability. Based on my experimentation, the best results can be achieved by using FlexiSmart products, which are available for purchase on Amazon at http://amzn.to/2gH4iNA. Update: I've made some adjustments to Version 2 of this design, which now provides a snugger fit under the arm. The original version was slightly too wide, measuring 4mm in thickness.
