Two piece hinge, no pin necessary - unbreakable. All of that is assuming you print it in Taulman Nylon Alloy 910. When you print it, it prints fully assembled. Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: .2mm Infill: 30% Notes: The latch portion prints 2 mm above the bed so it needs to be supported. I used a 10% support in Simplify 3D software. I used Taulman's Nylon "Alloy 910" to print this. It's the easiest printing and toughest nylon available (without fiberglass). With my E3D v6 extruder it requires a print temp of 250c but other extruders can print it at lower temps. The bed temp was 65c. You can probably print this with other Nylons but I can't guarantee you won't have warping if you do. You can probably print this in PET but it won't take the same abuse. The part printed with Taulman's nylon is unbreakable in this use. You will pull the screws out before this hinge will break. Post-Printing You will need to apply pressure to the hing to break the two parts apart and then work it in a bit to make it move smoother. I've Printed 4 so far and all have worked. I've been able to break it free using my fingers only. If you don't work with Nylon then PET might work but I know the PET wouldn't take the same abuse. How I Designed This I used thinkercad.com to design it. the hinge uses cones instead of a pin.
