Ignition coil tester

Ignition coil tester

thingiverse

A simple ignition coil tester. Among other things, you will need: two bolts (M6x70 and M5x50), as well as nuts for them and a round crimp terminal for the wire (or you can solder the wire directly to the nut). For better usability, the edge of the spark plug bolt can be machined to an M4 thread (which will allow you to achieve better compatibility with many spark plug caps). You also need to set the prohibition of printing supports for threaded connections. The nut of the movable bolt must be glued into the housing. The principle of operation is based on the occurrence of an arc between two contacts, the distance between which can be changed by unscrewing the bolt. If the ignition coil is faulty, the arc will be weak and short.
