Our friends in Älmhult occasionally tweak the design of their incredibly popular Billy bookshelves. One change is that the shelf fixing holes on the sides are now about 3.2mm diameter, where they used to be 5mm. I don't know if some Swedish accountant figured that the smaller holes are less expensive to drill, or is some designer thought the smaller holes were less conspicuous, but it happened. So now if you buy an extra shelf for an older bookcase, the pegs don't work. These pegs replicate the older pegs for use on older bookcases.
