IKEA dresser bar support

IKEA dresser bar support

thingiverse

A vertical support for a horizontal bar used in an IKEA dresser closet thing of which I can`t recall the name. The old support (as seen in the pictures) is made of a softer material and has been bent by the weight it had to support. The replacement part is longer and has three support nobs in stead of two. I also made cutouts in order to make it stronger in the vertical direction. width: 26mm height: 80mm Bar diameter: 18mm Nob spacing: 32mm Nob diameter: 4.55m Nob depth: 5mm This is my first go at my own OpenSCAD design, more to follow :-). It is also a quick hack, and it works, so likely I will not make any changes/optimizations in my ugly code. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Hephestos Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: .2 mm per layer Infill: 20% Notes: I placed the object at a 45% angle, on the bottom side. This way you can print it without supports. I did select a brim in Cura, but if you have good bed adhesion I think you can print without it. Post-Printing My generated STL file did had an artifact at the second nob/pin, which I had to file away. Other than that and removing a bit of stringing, it was ready to plug and play
