IKEA GLIS CABLE BOX

Main idea behind this thing is making the cables rolling around for projects be organized "finally".. I grabbed one of Ikea's little nylon box called "Glis" with a nice lid and converted it to a cable box. I used two piece of printed side supports for the bar in the middle. I got a wooden bar since it is easier to make(and quicker too..) but you can print it as well. The diameter of this bar is 23.5 mm which is suitable for my cable spools. I include the design file so that you can customize to suit your needs. Bill of material is as follows: 2 ea. Side Supports (Printed) 4 ea. M4 x 12 Bolt together with washer and nut. 1 ea. Round Bar Dia = 23.5 mm, L = 148 mm. (Diameter depends on your spool's size) 1 ea. IKEA GLISS box (Usually sold as 4 ea. pack) Side supports are a bit tricky to design since the inside of the box has angles and round corners all around. I think the design of the support is pretty well suited the inside curves. Happy printing and happy new year.
