This is a top mounted door handle magnetic kit for the IKEA Lack enclosure for Prusa (and other) printers. There are probably tons of these out there, but I designed this door handle because of 2 reasons. First, and most important, it was hard to find magnets based on the original design in the US. For this, I use basic 0.7in x 0.118in Neodynium magnets found at Home Depot here in the US with a description of MASTER MAGNETICS 0.7 in. Neodymium Rare-Earth Magnet Discs (3 per Pack) https://www.homedepot.com/p/MASTER-MAGNETICS-0-7-in-Neodymium-Rare-Earth-Magnet-Discs-3-per-Pack-07047HD/202526369 Second, I have my Prusa controller on the outside of my enclosure and needed space at the bottom for the ribbon cables. Needed for build: (6) - .7 in x .118 in Neodynium magnets (2) - #6 screws (at least 1/2") Superglue The superglue (I used DAP Rapid Fuse) is used to hold the handles in place once you put them in the right spot and to glue the magnets into the slots on the plastic. If you get superglue on the plexiglass .. it will show up and you aren't getting it off, so be careful. The easiest way is to put it on the top edge of the plexiglass where the handle will go and then gently slide the handle down over it. It has been a pain to get these lined up properly because I don't think my legs on the table are seated where they really should be. Fit it where you want it before screwing or gluing anything in. Center the part that screws on and install it first. This will help align the handles where they need to be. The best way to find the right spot for the handles is to put them on (unglued) and see where the magnets will end up being when closed. Then you can glue the handles into that spot. PRO TIP: Glue the outside magnets in place on the 4 magnet row first and let it dry a bit. These things are strong and will try to pop out to attach to the magnet next to it. Hold the magnet in place with your fingers when putting in the magnet next to it. I originally just made these just for me, but figured somebody else might want them so there isn't much thinking into this. Feel free to try it if you feel like it.
