I owned an Ikea lamp with a missing part. I decided not to sell it whole, so I went back to Ikea. Upon returning home, I measured the replacement piece on another lamp in my collection. To conceal the screws that held it together, I cut a 5mm layer off the new piece before attaching it. Now I can use it as a solution if you're missing the same part.
