Like many PC enthusiasts, I love the IKEA Markus chair. It has a tall back, quality mechanics, and is very ergonomic for the price. However, I'm a tall guy, and it could be a bit higher for my taste. So I looked at the design and thought about where it could be raised up a bit. I discounted the mounting points for the rollers and for the central lift for strength reasons, and that only left mounting the seat cushion and the backrest higher. This is an easy mod. You need to print 4 pieces of the round washer, and a single piece of the triple washer for the backrest. You also need 7 M8 hex bolts, length 70 mm (actually you'd need 5 in 60 mm and 2 in 80 mm, but I used a single length and it works well), to replace the old bolts that are now too short. I recommend using Loctite 243 thread locker, because that's what's on the original bolts as well, to keep the bolts tight. I've been sitting on mine for a week, and I am very happy. Please pay attention to the printing instructions below.
