IKEA Markus chair arm

prusaprinters

These are smaller arms for the Markus chair to enable it to fit easily under a desk, the final height is 160mm from the bolt centreline. The design is loosely based on Hichi's but reduced to fit on a standard printer with a 250 mm x 200 mm bed. I have embedded the bolts fully in the rim to get better stiffness. The design is symmetrical and attaches using the standard bolts.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

Mk2.5s

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.35 mm

Infill:

80% around bolt holes

Filament:
Any PLA

Notes:

This needs to be pretty strong particularly around the bolt holes. This was printed with 5 perimeters at .35 layer height and 20% fill but i used the modification volume in PrusaSlicer to put 80% fill around the bolt holes. This worked fine and the arms feel as rigid as the steel ones.

Category: Office
